"Ramblin Man" - Imagine the antics of "Smokey And The Bandit" crossed with the cowboy code of the old Wild West and you have "Ramblin' Man." Jumping a freight train to head for the coast, Midwestern transplants Will (Tom Selleck) and J.D. (Jerry Reed) accidentally end up in Nashville, Tennessee. The accidents continue as the hapless pair is mistaken for private investigators by a young woman (Morgan Fairchild) who is searching for her missing sister. Will and J.D. need the work, so they take her up on it, regardless of the fact that they know next to nothing about hunting down missing, would-be country singers. The case takes Will and J.D. through Nashville's country music scene, brushing shoulders with a great assortment of C&W talent, such as Barbara Mandrell, Roy Acuff, and Ray Stevens.
